A Regular-Old update on the Fam...

Hello Everyone!

I haven't updated in awhile, so I felt I should let ya'll know whats going on!

Jon's job is working out wonderfully, and I know he gets so much satisfaction in seeing a finished job that he helped do :) He is learning fast with some things, slow with others, but altogether I know he loves the kind of work he is doing, and I can see the difference in his attitude when he gets home now, from when he was surveying in Bothell.

I am just in the last throes of morning sickness, which I am so glad of! We have been battling sickness right and left, and with this spring being so busy, I am thankful to be feeling like I am myself again on some days :) I am 12 1/2 weeks now, and we are planning on having a home birth for this baby, so I am excited! My midwife is so nice, and I have an amazing lady who has agreed to be my doula...so I know I have a good support system.

Jason is doing perfect...other than getting 2 different flu's one-after-the-other. Poor baby! He will be 1 year old next week, and I am so excited for his birthday party! We can't have it on his actual birthday though, because our cousin Amos' wedding is on his birthday :) 2 parties in a row!!
Anyhow, he is walking all over now, waving goodbye, waving toward himself when he wants you to come with him, being a VERY picky eater, and he doesn't say "mom" or "dad", but he says "There!" and "There it is!" if you ask him where something is. Its so cute! I would have never thought that a sentence would be his first word, nor that it would be something other than the typical "momma, daddy" thing :) Surprise, surprise!

Other news, is that Stephanie and Ari are coming up for a 2-week visit, and arriving tomorrow! I am excited to see Stephie's new tummy! She is exactly 6 weeks ahead of me, and they now know it is gonna be a girl! :)
Steven and Andrea are moving this weekend! They have been looking for awhile, but finally found a really nice place in Bothell, so we are excited for them :)
We are looking for a house now too...the trailer is just getting a little too small, and difficult in many other ways to handle (no oven, 9 minute showers, easily plugged toilet, mice, tiny fridge, tiny sink, no dishwasher, no washer and dryer, etc...). We have been SO blessed to live here for a year, but I am not sure how much longer we can hold out :)

Well, I guess thats it! I'll post some more pictures as soon as I get my film developed :) Love ya'll!

Changing of the Plans

Well I am sure you all are wondering about this huge mystery that we have created!! Unfortunately, Jonathan has been too busy, and I have been too sick in the past couple weeks to inform all of you of our latest plans. So, without further ado, here is what the future looks like:
Since Jonathan's last day of work at MLA, he had spent most his time with Jason & I, and helping my dad with the logs in our their forest that blew down in the last storm. This job was to take about 1 month, at which time we would make the move to NC. But, 2 weeks ago, Jonathan's brother's (Michael) employer was expressing his desire that he would find another guy for their construction company. He never advertises for help, but prays that the Lord would bring all of his employees to him when the need arises. However this time it was taking awhile for the Lord to bring someone, and they were desperate for help. In expressing this to Michael, he immediately replied that he had a brother that could work for Ezra...but he is about to move to North Carolina. Needless to say, the next day Michael talked to Jonathan, and as it seemed like a dream job, we prayed about it and felt like we should at least check it out. Jon set up an interview for the next day. He started work the next day! So, in 1 week, our plans for NC seem to be either postponed, or changed completely! We have decided to give it a months trial before we say for sure whether we stay or not...it seemed previously that God was pointing us in the direction of moving to North Carolina, so we weren't quite sure why all of this was happening. Even now we don't know why...we can only say that we are willing to be fools for Him, no matter where he chooses to take us, or how many times it seems He is changing his mind. Right now, it seems this is where he wants us to stay, and so we will do just that. We still feel like moving to NC is in our future, but when that time is, we don't know. We just hope all of you will be understanding, and not too disappointed or frustrated with us going "back and forth" as it seems. Please pray that the Lord leads us in the right direction :) We love you all!

Walking at exactly 10 months old

On February 7th, at about 10pm, Jason started walking!!!!!!!! We were at Grandma Theresa's house, and he walked (almost RAN!) across the kitchen to me! So, he walked for the first time on his 10 month birthday! That will be easy to remember through the years! He has been walking all over the place ever since, but only in the last week has he gotten REALLY steady, and is walking as his prefered means of "transportation" :) He will squat, and pick something up, and then stand right back up again, without holding on to anything. It is the coolest experience! He seems like a little boy now, not a baby anymore. So far it is all sweet though, and nothing quite "bitter" has made me regret this newest development :) He has been pulling himself up and walking around furniture since the day he turned 6 months old! I'd say he was more than ready to make this transition.

We are all excited to announce that we will be expecting an addition to our family, come this October!! Yes, I am pregnant! I am discovering that this isn't such a surprise to many people...but it sure is a welcome one for us :) Jason will be 18 months old, and I am excited to have him and the new little bundle-of-joy be so close...God couldn't have timed it better I think :)

First Steps!

Jason has taken his first steps Today! He has been Walking with a walker, and around furniture for a couple months now. And just about a week ago, I started being able to walk with him holding one of his hands, and he walks around just fine...so I knew he could do it, it was just a matter of time and practice. Well, last night and today I have taken his binky away from him while he was standing up by himself (which he does ALL the time...), and said "come and get it!", and he takes a step! Once he took 2 steps...but then he falls down :) Anyhow, I figure once he knows he can do it, and how convenient it is, he'll leave crawling behind, and be a bigger problem for mama ;) Jason is now 9 months old, so we aren't exactly ahead, but not behind either. I'm happy!
