Pictures of Jasons Birthday Party

1st Birthday!!!

AT 1 YEAR OLD:

Gave up binky 5 days before first birthday because of rash on face. It actually went pretty well!! He had a hard time sleeping the first night, and the next 2 days, naps were hard, but since then, he falls asleep by himself without crying when we put him in his crib and go to bed, sleeps completely through the night (a feat we hadn't accomplished up to this point), and he takes naps pretty well too!

Since then, these are the things that he is doing:

Says "Uh-Oh!"

Says "Tigger"

Says "There it is"

Says "There"

Nods once for a "Yes"

Shakes head "No"

Dances to Music

Hums a "tune"

Sings the same "tune" (as it is consistently the same tune..."E-C-D-C" in piano notes)

Gives "5" and "10"

Claps hands and says "yay"

Babels constantly, and comprehends almost anything you tell or ask him.

The Shoe Story

I was doing my morning routine in the bathroom the other day (that would be puking...), and I told Jason that we were gonna go inside to visit Grandma (Grandma Sue) before I made the run to the toilet. Afterward, I called out to him "Jason, you wanna go outside? You wanna see Grandma? You have to get your shoes on". As I was cleaning up, I heard his little voice calling out, "Theh edess....Theh edess" (there it is/here it is). I peeked my head out of the bathroom to see his proud smiling face at the base of the steps, holding one of my shoes in one hand, and one of Jonathan's shoes in the other! It was so sweet.

The Razor Story

"The Razor Story"

Here is a story of something that happened the other day. I rushed inside my mom and dad's house to tell everyone about it, but then it totally left me!! Ah, the mind of a pregnant woman. Anyhow, taking a shower today brought it all back :)

As we have only a limited amount of hot water in our trailer, we have to take about 8-9 minute showers (at which time the cold faucet is turned completely off, and its cold water coming out), so its difficult to get a baby bath, and 2 adult showers in on the same day. So, I just bring Jason into the shower with me when he needs a bath, and let him play with his toys and the water in the tub while I wash up, then I wash him up just in time to get out before the water turns cold.
2 days ago, I was rinsing the shampoo out of my hair, when I felt something on my leg. I looked down, to see my son "shaving" my leg with the pink razor he had found!! I must have knocked it down or something, and he was like, "Oh! I've seen mommy do this before, I'll do it for her!!". He is so smart! He was actually making up and down strokes on my leg while correctly holding the razor :) I thanked God that he hadn't sliced his finger off, and that he spared my leg as well.

My Small Pregnant Belly

Well, Its small, but its there. I'm sure Greg Wells will have something to say about how small I am, but HEY! I am actually 10 pounds heavier than I was with Jason, at the same point in pregnancy (11 weeks in this picture).
