The City Park

This was the MOST fun day ever!!!!!!!! The kids were still a little under the weather, so we knew sticking them in Sunday School wasn't the best idea. SO, we decided to take them to the City Park to get some wiggles out, and it ended up being a blast!

We stopped by the grocery store and bought some grill fixins, and set out! Jonathan went to get our tickets while I set up the table, Cyle ran to a gas station to get "grill tools" we forgot at home, and the girls let the kids play on the playground!

We all (except Cyle and Jon) went on the carousel ride, and everyone loved it...even Abby and Micah! "WOO-HOO!!!"

Then we ate our lunch, and got a little scared by some drops of rain...but it just spit at us a little then stopped to turn back into a sunny day!

We let the kids go on another ride...

Then us girls went BACK on the carousel (me, Grace, and Michelle) without the babies, and then to top the day off, we ALL got to have a train ride...

I love family memory days like this, Praise the Lord for good ideas, good food, and a beautiful family

"MOOOoooooo....."

We are getting a cow! A milk cow!! Oh, ode to joy!

She isn't the most beautiful cow in the shed, but we all love her already, and she is SO temperamentally sound! All of us have taken turns milking her, and it is so easy! She was so patient with all the little kids as they took turns as well :)

Her name is Hollyhock...which is adorable when little southern-accent kids say it, by the way...

She will be ours this coming week, and the boys have just finished the fences just in time! Didn't they do an amazing job???

CHICKEN UPDATE:

YAY!

We are officially getting eggs now! Our chickens all started laying on the same day, which is awesome! We are getting about 3-4 eggs a day, which is good for 7 chickens! Yay! We still have to get eggs from our friends, but at least we are on our way to being a farm...right??

Overalls

I just bought the CUTEST overalls! For me!!! I have been wanting a pair, since technically I am a farm girl now, and will soon have chores outside that might get clothes all messed up. I wanna be able to throw on my overalls to cover my clothes, and get outside and get dirty!!!

Meanwhile, Jason has been begging for overalls too, and I think that a birdie told me he might be getting a pair for his birthday.... ;)

But....I just HAD to share these pictures of my littlest overalls man-MICAH! What...A...Ham...

Outside, Working & Playing

Michelle & Abby, Lizzy, and Cyle

Grace, helping me get pinecones off the burning branches, for a future craft/project!

"Uh oh Zoe!" These pants were a light kaki color a few minutes ago...

Ahhhh!!!! Tyler took a nice mudbath I guess. Later on after I took this picture, he walked to the middle of the driveway and said "I'm stuck". After calling and coaxing him to come to me, I finally went to him to find out why he was "stuck", and realized each boot was filled to the brim with muddy water, and he couldn't walk properly! Poor guy...

Mommy and Micah...look at those chipmunk cheeks!!! He was ready for a nap for sure
