The Nail Polish Apology

Nail Polish

I have had a frustrating day! But, after the chaos died down, I cleaned up what COULD be cleaned up, I decided to take some pictures of the event and try to find the comic side of this VERY bad situation.

Aparently, Jason found my favorite bottle of nail polish. He has found it before, and painted our bathroom floor with it, and got in trouble. Since I knew he had rummaged through under the sink to find the little bottle, I brought it out and put it on my dresser, out of his reach (and I thought, out of his sight).

Somehow, he managed to get ahold of it while I was on the computer, and swiftly took it out to the living room. He pained all over our lamp/end table, splattered some on our wedding album, smeared some on 2 of the couches, and then made a lovely bunch of smears on the carpet where (I am assuming, since I found the bottle there) the bottle had accidentally dumped some glops out.
I was enlightened only by little Tyler getting hold of the "paint brush", and coming into my room because the little thing was stuck and plastered to his hand...which by the way, both hands were covered in polish as well, so I know he wasn't innocent of the crime. His clothes had splatters all over. I walked out, trying to contain my anger, and then saw Jason...smearing...and realized he was coated with the stuff...hands AND clothes.

I managed to strip them, scrub off some of the polish from their hands, and now I am awaiting the polish remover that will come home when my darling husband does ;)

Here's some pictures. Oh....please, enjoy!!!

Tyler Laughing

Snow Pictures

Snowing, FINALLY!

Well, somehow we were deceived.

Somehow the 2 years that either the Hawkins family, Jonathan, or I were in North Carolina, it snowed lots, and was VERY winterish weather!! Come to find out the truth...it hardly ever snows in our are but twice or three times a year, and usually it just stays around for the night, or 1 day. Slightly depressing, I know, but we'll have to stick it out since this is where we are :)

However, one such snows happened last Tuesday! It started snowing sometime between 5 and 6AM, and Jonathan got to stay home from work! We went for a wonderful walk to our little town, and had coffee and a little breakfast at a little restaurant. The eventful moments of the walk were:
1) A passenger train went by while we were on Main Street, and it was SO awesome watching the powdered snow go flying everywhere!!! We weren't close enough to get sprayed, but it definitely was a sight to see, and the boys ADORED it :)
2) We visited a local pawn shop, and Jonathan found an awesome lever-action gun that he has been looking for. He didn't get it, but its cool knowing that they get them in often.
3) Tyler lost his sweet little mitten!! Jonathan retraced all our steps, but couldn't find it anywhere. I am not very happy about it, but what can you do?

When we got home, the boys played outside for awhile in the snow before it was naptime for Tyler, and we needed to start fixing lunch. It stopped snowing around the time we got home, but the 2 inches (Yes, only about 2 inches) that we got stayed around for most the day :)

Sunday Night Fun at Our House

We had a "fun night" at our house on Sunday night...it was so much fun! A bit crazy though. The guys all played "Uno", while us girls made Cinnamon rolls (All the while trying to keep the kids in order). Then, we had an interesting fight break out with Shaphan and Andrew. Not quite sure who won, but it was definitely entertaining!

17 Weeks Pregnant now...

Well I am mostly over morning sickness. Both Tyler's & this pregnancy have lingered longer on the sickness, but feeling baby moving overrides any negative feelings on that score :)

Next week we will schedule an ultrasound (Lord willing) to find out what this munchkin is! I am hoping to have it scheduled for 19 or 20 weeks, and it is so exciting that it is so soon!

Anyhow, just wanted to update everyone on my condition :)
